Student Services and Support Programs at Burpengary Meadows State School

Commitment to Inclusive Education

At Burpengary Meadows State School, we are dedicated to fostering an inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive. Inclusive education is at the heart of our school culture, ensuring that all students can access and actively participate in learning alongside their peers.

We achieve this through:

·       Assistive Technology – We leverage technology to support students with diverse learning needs, empowering them to reach their full potential.


Collaboration & Specialist Services

We believe in a team approach, working closely with students, parents, and the community to provide the best possible support. Our school also has access to regional specialist services, including:

·       Occupational therapy

·       Physical therapy

·       Nursing support

·       Advisory visiting teachers

These services allow us to provide comprehensive support for students with specific needs.

Support for Students with Disability (SWD)

Students with disabilities and those identified through the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD) are supported through our Student Services committee (SEWS) Led by the Head of Inclusion. The Student Services team consists of:​

·       Head of Inclusion

·       Guidance Officer

·       School Chaplain

·       Student Well-being Officer

·       Teachers

·       Deputy Principals and Principal.

Staff members work with parents and students to develop strategies for success, access community services, and create a supportive environment where every student can thrive.
