Communication at Burpengary Meadows State School
At Burpengary Meadows State School, we believe that strong communication between parents, teachers, and school staff is essential to maximising student learning outcomes.
Website & QParents App
Our school website continues to evolve, providing up-to-date information on school activities, important dates, and key documents. If you are unable to find what you're looking for, please try the search bar.
For individual student information, parents can download the QParents app on their phone or tablet. This app provides access to student-specific details, including attendance, report cards, and payment options.
Parade & Parent/Admin ‘Cuppa’
Parade is held every Friday at 8:45 am in the hall. Parents are warmly invited to attend and enjoy student presentations, weekly messages, guest speakers, and award ceremonies.
Following parade, parents are welcome to visit the Hall Foyer for an informal chat and a ‘cuppa’ with the school leadership team. This is a great opportunity to connect with staff, meet other parents, and engage with the Burpengary Meadows school community.
Class Notes, Emails & Parent Communication
Throughout the term, teachers will send home class notes regarding upcoming excursions and events. These notes often include payment deadlines and permission requirements, so we encourage parents to read them carefully.
For many families, email is an effective way to communicate with their child’s teacher. Teachers will provide their work email address as part of our regular communication network. In some cases, teachers may reach out via phone to discuss matters that require a more personal conversation. They will do their best to schedule calls at a mutually convenient time.
Parents are also welcome to have a brief chat with their child’s teacher at the start or end of the school day. However, if a longer discussion is needed, we ask that you arrange a suitable meeting time.
Appointments with the Administration Team
Parents who wish to speak with a member of the administration team are encouraged to make an appointment through our office staff. While we will always try to accommodate unplanned meetings, this is not always possible. To avoid disappointment, please leave your name and contact details, and we will get back to you as soon as possible. Alternatively, you can reach out via email.
We value open and effective communication and look forward to working together to support our students' success.
