Re: Severe Weather Conditions in Moreton Bay Region
Dear Parents/Care givers,
The Moreton Bay Region is expecting to experience severe weather conditions over the next 48 hours.
Our school currently remains open.
In the case of any school closures, parents/care givers will be advised by sms, OneSchool notification or via the
school’s website.
Information regarding school closures can also be found on the DET Natural disasters and closed educational
facilities website.
Up to date information regarding the event is available from Queensland Fire and Emergency Services, the Bureau of
Meteorology and the Queensland Government’s Disaster Management website.
The safety of our students is paramount. Where conditions pose a threat to student’s ability to safely travel to
schools, parents should keep the student at home, and advise the school of their absence. Otherwise students
should attend school as normal.
Please remind your children not to enter flood waters or approach fallen power lines.
Yours sincerely,
Matt King                                        Cassy Patience
Principal (Acting)                           Deputy Principal (Acting)
